Neighbourhood managers and support officers

Neighbourhood management

Your Neighbourhood Manager

There is a named Neighbourhood Manager for every Irwell Valley neighbourhood. They should be your first point of contact if you have a query about your tenancy or neighbourhood.

The role of the Neighbourhood Manager includes:

  • carrying out initial visits within 3-6 weeks of a customer moving in to their home
  • carrying out regular tenancy visits
  • carrying out quarterly neighbourhood inspections
  • dealing with low level anti-social behaviour (ASB) and nuisance cases
  • dealing with tenancy enquiries, including transfer and assignment requests
  • dealing with general tenancy breaches and neighbourhood issues, including graffiti and fly tipping
  • liaising with resident groups and working in neighbourhoods to ensure sustainability of tenancies and regenerate communities.
  • liaising with local authorities and partner agencies

Your Neigbourhood Support Officer Team

Our Neighbourhood Support Officers team help the Neighbourhood Managers to maintain and transform our Neighbourhoods. They work on numerous Environmental Improvement Projects alongside colleagues and customers to create neighbourhoods that both irwell valley homes and our customers can be proud of.

Headed up by our Neighbourhood Manager for Environmentals, the Neighbourhood Support Officers deliver other services as well as the Environmental Projects. These include, litter picking, removal and investigation of fly tipping, removal and investigation of graffiti, tree works and clean up events.

The Neighbourhood Support Officers provide a visible presence within neighbourhoods and work within the community to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour and low-level crime.
