We work hard to understand the needs and preferences of each of our 16,000 residents and tailor our services to significantly improve their quality of life. We actively encourage residents to get involved in the running of the organisation and provide us with feedback on our services and policies.
Customer involvement underpins all we do at Irwell Valley and all colleagues work jointly with customers as partners in order to improve neighbourhoods and services.
Listening to our customers and taking action on your feedback makes us more accountable to you. Your involvement enables us to build a mutually agreed relationship based on Irwell Valley’s core values of honesty, dignity, respect and trust.

Residents’ Scrutiny Panel and Customer Auditors
The Residents’ Scrutiny Panel is made up of customers, who scrutinise the services Irwell Valley provides to ensure we are getting them right. To read more about The Residents' Scrutiny Panel click here. Customer Auditors assist the Residents’ Scrutiny Panel with their inspections by carrying out surveys and mystery shops.
Our specialist Focus Group is an advisory group comprising of customers who meet quarterly to discuss topics relating to the organisation, and provide feedback to ensure that services are fair and accessible to all.
The Specialist Focus Group is open to everyone, however we welcome customers who would consider themselves a minority.

Task and Finish Groups
Our Task and Finish Groups allow residents to feedback on how we work. In the past, residents have helped us select new gas servicing and repairs contractors.
