Our Equality and Diversity Forum is made up of colleagues, our Managing Director Performance and Coaching and a Board Member. They are responsible for setting the strategic equality and diversity objectives, ensuring that Irwell Valley complies with the relevant legislation and good practice and monitors performance in relation to Equality and Diversity.
In order to provide the services that our customers want, we need to know who our customers are. We collate information for our customers including faith/religion, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age and gender. We carry out Equality Impact Assessments to ensure our services, projects and policies are accessible to all.
We have a number of colleagues who speak other languages and we subscribe to an external service provider for those customers who need interpretation or translation services. We also have colleagues with sign language skills.
